Dragon Whips It’s Tail
The third pose of the 8 Trigrams is Dragon Whips It’s Tail.
This move combines the Wave in the second pose with added arm movement that opens up the arm meridans that are connected to the heart, pericardium, lungs, triple warmer, and intestines.
It also begins to stretch the shoulders intensifying the move between the lower and upper body. It opens the meridians in the arms and creates space in the back body, loosening any tightness. This move circulates, energizes, and fills the three Dan Tians. Filling the third eye helps develop intuition and the sixth sense.
Begin with wide stance, wider than the shoulders. Sink down in stance, bending knees keeping torso upright. Hands out in front, palms up. Pull arms back, past waist line through to back body.
Circle arms forward through “T’ and back out in front. Repeat arm movement, pulling arms back past chest to back body, circling arms forward through “T’ and back out in front.
Repeat arm movement, pulling arms back past third eye to back body, circling arms forward through “T’ and back out in front. During each arm movement, wave in spine undulates up as arms move back.
